They host events and activities for the students that keep us engaged and the time frame in which they inform us is perfect! we know things at least a week or 2 maybe even a month in advance and the event dates are always sent via email with reminders. The organization and growth of the school/ campus over all has been amazing to watch. The financial aid process was super smooth, counselors are available, and each of my professors communication has been beyond excellent. I believe that’s because of the revamping and the new staff. Junior: I’ve been to southern crescent a few times however this time I’ve had the best experience. That is something that I don't take for granted because it is not about how popular a college is. This may be something that every student says, but when at a college that is small, it is much easier to be close with your professors, and every other staff member, including the janitors. I have learned so much from these people while being in the same class as them, and volunteering at the same events. The one thing about Technical colleges that I love the most is that there are lots of adults with a tough past who are enrolled in the college. Gwinnett Tech is a small college that happens to also be a place where everyone cares about the importance of being proud of where we are from while trying to have a better way of living. But after starting my first semester, I saw how Gwinnett Tech is a college that was more than the cheap tuition. Sophomore: I once preferred to go to a four-year university, but I chose Gwinnett Tech because of how affordable it is. Although I have missed being in person more I am grateful that I am a part of Lanier Tech!. With alternating days between online learning and on-campus learning to health check stations, LTC has made huge efforts to preserve their high level of education during this pandemic. Now that we hybrid, LTC is working hard at a maintaining safe and healthy campus for all. The campus was closed and highly focused on keeping students and staff safe. It was a scary time at the beginning of 2020, but LTC kept the student body motivated and inspired with friendly emails, online counseling, and online education resources.
I am very impressed by how curriculum was delivered and we were still able to maintain a classroom connection with fellow students. Professors used blackboard and other tools to make learning efficient and accessible. I got the information I needed to help me get into my program at LTC. Freshman: When the pandemic hit, the LTC professors and staff made a smooth transition to online learning.
